Large bison in front of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange: Guerrilla marketing for the crypto app Bison

When a bison appears in front of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, one thing is clear: this isn't just a random piece of urban scenery, but a deliberate staging.

How Creative Polymer brought a large-scale bison to life for guerrilla marketing

A bison is not a quiet motif. It stands for power, presence, and self-confidence. In front of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, this symbolism takes on a unique impact. The object needed to do more than just stand out; it had to hold its own visually, make people stop in their tracks, and serve as a high-quality photo opportunity.

That was the core of this project. For the crypto app Bison, we were tasked with creating a large-scale bison to serve as a guerrilla marketing stunt in a public space—designed to grab attention, encourage photos, and make the brand instantly visible.

The result is an impressive exhibit with high visibility, powerful symbolism, and exactly the presence needed for a high-impact brand activation in such a prominent location.

This is precisely why the exhibit was produced using large-scale 3D printing, crafted to ensure it not only makes a strong visual impact in a public space but also functions flawlessly from a technical standpoint.

About the project

In marketing, there are objects that are merely decorative, and then there are objects that communicate a message instantly. This bison clearly belonged to the latter category. It was large, imposing, and an immediate eye-catcher in its setting.

Especially in the context of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, this created a powerful visual language: a strong animal serving as a physical statement for a brand that wants to make its presence felt. The exhibit was more than just a marketing tool; it was a deliberate visual impulse in the urban landscape.

Weight: just under 100 kg

Construction: made from 12 individual parts

Our services

01 Production of the bison in twelve individual parts

The bison was produced using large-scale 3D printing in a total of twelve individual parts. This segmentation was necessary to efficiently manufacture, finish, and assemble an object of this size.

For large-scale outdoor exhibits, dividing the structure into multiple components is a key part of the planning process. It influences manufacturing, transport, handling, and the final overall impact.

02 Bonding, filling, sanding, and assembly

Following production, the individual components were bonded, filled, sanded, painted, and assembled. This transformed the separate segments into a cohesive object with a clean form and a high-quality finish.

Surface quality is crucial, especially for an exhibit placed in a public space and used as a photo opportunity. Transitions, seams, and unevenness must not detract from the visual impact. The goal was to achieve a surface that looks premium and gives the object the necessary visual presence.

03 Structural reinforcement for stability

To ensure the bison not only looks good but also stands securely, metal rods were integrated into the feet. This structural reinforcement increased the exhibit's stability and was a vital part of the technical implementation.

For an object with a total weight of nearly 100 kg and dimensions of approximately 270 x 180 x 100 cm, structural integrity must be considered from the start. This is especially true when the exhibit is used temporarily in outdoor settings.

04 Wheeled base for flexible positioning

Additionally, the bison was mounted on a wheeled base. This allowed the object to be positioned securely while remaining easy to move. This is a major advantage for temporary marketing campaigns, as it makes transport, placement, and handling significantly more practical.

The base was therefore not just functional, but a key component of the overall deployment concept.

Project workflow

From concept to eye-catching brand object

The challenge was not just to create a large animal figure. The key was to build an exhibit that makes an immediate impact in an urban environment, invites people to take photos, and is technically robust.

That is why the bison was planned not only with regard to shape and size, but also with a focus on assembly, surface quality, stability, and mobility.

Large-format 3D printing for urban brand staging

By manufacturing it in twelve segments, the bison could be produced at a scale that commands real presence in public spaces. This is the true strength of large-format 3D-printed objects in marketing: they make brands not just visible, but physically tangible.

In iconic locations, such as here in front of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange, this creates a presence that goes far beyond traditional advertising media.

Project overview

The bison was created as a large-format brand object for temporary outdoor use.

  • End client: Crypto App Bison
  • Application: Guerrilla marketing stunt in front of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange
  • Dimensions: approx. 270 x 180 x 100 cm
  • Weight: just under 100 kg
  • Construction: made from 12 individual parts
  • Special features: high-quality finish, integrated metal reinforcements in the feet, mobile pedestal, temporary outdoor use, photo point functionality

High-quality finish for maximum visual impact

Because the bison was specifically intended to serve as a photo point, the surface finish was a key quality requirement. The object needed to make a strong impression from a distance while also looking impressive up close.

Careful post-processing and painting resulted in a high-quality finish that made the exhibit look seamless, clean, and professional. In projects like this, that is often the difference between something that is just "big" and something that is truly compelling.

The result: A bison with a powerful presence

The final result was a large-format bison for the crypto app Bison, used as a guerrilla marketing stunt in front of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Weighing just under 100 kg and measuring approximately 270 x 180 x 100 cm, with a high-quality finish, integrated metal reinforcements, and a mobile pedestal, it became an object that combines attention-grabbing design, stability, and mobility.

It was an eye-catcher, a photo point, and a brand statement all in one.

Conclusion: Large-format 3D printing for guerrilla marketing and powerful brand activations

This project clearly demonstrates the potential of large-format 3D printing for guerrilla marketing, brand staging, and high-impact outdoor campaigns. Creative Polymer handled the entire implementation of the bison, from segmented production, assembly, and surface finishing to structural stabilization and the mobile pedestal solution.

The result was an exhibit that didn't just stand out, but was specifically built to function in public spaces: robust, high-quality, and with the kind of impact that turns a simple campaign into a truly iconic image.
